Beautiful
picturesque 260 acre ranch nestled in the Idaho mountains, at the end of the
road near the small, old fashioned community of Ola, Idaho. Within 40 miles
of Emmett and 70 miles of Boise.
The community of
Ola has a small general store, post office, church, community hall, one room
school with a community library, and a cafe with the best home cooking
around.
Emmett has all the
amenities, hospital, doctors, dentist, vet, grocery, hardware, nursery,
schools, theater, movie theater, parks, community swimming pool, tennis
courts, museum, railroad depot with the
Thunder Mountain Line dinner rides.
Black Canyon Dam is a great place for waterskiing, jet skiing, swimming and
fishing. Emmett also hosts the Cherry Festival, Cowboy Poetry Gathering and
the Gem County Fair and Rodeo. Emmett has a Farmers Market with an annual
Harvest Festival in October.
The ranch is located of off the Sweet/Ola Highway.
The ranch is at the end of JacknifeLane,
a well maintained county road, that
provides easy access to
the ranch.
It is nestled in a
picturesque valley known for its abundance
of wildlife and outdoor activities.
The closest commercial air service is available in Boise,
Idaho's
major air hub, which is served by United, Delta, Horizon,
Northwest, Southwest, Alaska and SkyWest. Charter and
private FBO service are also available.
The airport is approximately 1 1/2 hour drive from the
ranch.
The town of Emmett is approximately a 40 minute scenic drive
from the ranch and provides all the necessary services including, doctor,
dentist, hospital, lawyers, and a private airfield, community golf course, as well as excellent
restaurants and a community theater. Emmett is also very
well known for their annual Cherry Festival and Cowboy
Poetry Gathering.
Agricultural and forest industries have
always been the mainstay
for the economy in the area, however, Emmett is quickly becoming a bedroom
community for Boise.
The area
provides excellent horse amenities. Included
about 30 different horse clubs. Many horse shows are held from February through
October. There is no end to the horse activities in the area.
